Taylor and Ben’s elopement was so special! These two found me on Pinterest when they came across some photos from when I photographed a wedding the year before in the same exact house! What a small world.

How They Met

Taylor and Ben met while working together at an outdoor retail shop! We were very good friends for about two years before they started dating. Their first date was at a place called Mission Taco. Then they walked over to a diner near there and talked the whole night long.

The Proposal

Ben proposed while they were on a vacation in Michigan. He took Taylor out on the lake and popped the question while in a kayak! It started to drizzle a little bit but then cleared up for the most beautiful sunset to enjoy on the night of their engagement.

Their Breckenridge Elopement

Taylor and Ben planned a very small wedding from the start, so Covid didn’t ruin their wedding plans! The two of them along with their daughter, Marley, and their immediate families rented a beautiful house in Breckenridge to say their vows. I met Taylor, Ben, their daughter, and Taylor’s mom at Sawmill Reservoir in Breckenridge for some photos, while the rest of their family members created the most wonderful setting for their backyard wedding! They had a beautiful arbor, candles, and lanterns. You could see the mountains behind the arbor which created such a pretty sunset light / alpenglow after their ceremony!
