I’ve been so excited to share these photos from Bri and Jack’s Evergreen Lake House wedding from last summer! This couple is the sweetest and they’ve been together forever. Here’s a little backstory on them:

How They Met

Bri and Jack are high school sweethearts! They met while waiting for their volleyball and soccer practices to begin after school. They passed time doing homework and playing cards after classes together. One day, Jack asked Bri to the big rivalry football game and she asked him to the haunted house with her after the game. Bri said yes, but Jack, nervously, declined. They shared their first kiss in the bleachers and ended the night with froyo instead of the haunted house. Nine years later and Jack is still bringing Bri to games (and Bri’s since gotten Jack to a few haunted houses.)

The Proposal

After elaborately planning a day of attempting to hike all five peaks of the Boulder skyline traverse with friends, intending to propose at the top of Sanitas, Jack pivoted when Bri sprained her ankle in the days leading up. Instead, he proposed at Waneka Lake nearby their house, then swept Bri to a day planned with a breakfast celebration with his family, spa day at the St. Julian, and a surprise party with all of their closest friends on Pearl St afterwards… he even booked a room in the historic quarters of the Boulderado – a proposal well done. 🙂

Their Evergreen Lake House Wedding

Since they met in high school and had to postpone due to Covid, Bri and Jack had been together for 11 years by the time they got married! Their day started at a chalet in Evergreen where all of their wedding party members were staying and getting ready. Bri and Jack had their first look in the courtyard of the chalet followed by lots of fun wedding party photos. Then everyone traveled over to Evergreen Lake House, where Bri and Jack’s black lab was waiting for them to take a few pictures together! Bri’s mother passed away so her sister walked her down the aisle. Bri had lots of sweet touches that were in memory of her mother; her bouquet was made of her mother’s jewelry, Bri wore her mother’s signature perfume scent, her favorite shade of lipstick, and Bri’s lullaby played as she and her sister walked down the aisle together.

Their good friend (also a bridesmaid) officiated their super sweet ceremony where there wasn’t a dry eye watching. After their ceremony we took some family photos followed by cocktail hour and some pretty golden hour photos in front or the lake house. The toasts took place outside on the deck before dinner, which was really cool! Then everyone moved inside for dinner and dancing. Bri and Jack put on a show for their guests with their first dance which was so fun to witness! It was such a perfect day for a wonderful and sweet couple! Congrats Bri and Jack!!
