Golden Colorado Wedding Photography — Who would’ve thought that two random roommates who met on Craigslist would end up getting married? I love Kristin and Preston’s love story! Kristin and Preston were both looking for a roommate during college and they found each other on Craigslist. They were roommates until their Senior year, when they finally decided to start dating! Kristin says their first date was brunch at Teller’s in Lakewood, then they took a walk around clear creek. Clear creek is also where we took their engagement photos! Preston says their first date was at Jackson’s, where he worked up the courage to ask Kristin out on a real date. 😉

Preston proposed to Kristin on his birthday weekend a few years later. They were walking around the Houston Arboretum when he popped the question. Since it was his birthday weekend, Kristin had also planned a surprise party for him on the same day that he proposed!

Kristin and Preston got married on September 28th, 2018, exactly five years after their first date at the creek. They now live in Texas, but everyone came back to Golden, Colorado to celebrate the two of them in the same place where they fell in love. The weather was perfect. They were able to have their ceremony outside on the patio at Boettcher Mansion. They chose not to see each other before the ceremony. Instead, they had a quiet moment together and exchanged gifts. They chose burgundy, light navy, and blush for their wedding colors which looked so beautiful that time of year! After their romantic ceremony and some incredible sunset photos, these two and their family/friends had SO much fun dancing the night away! Congrats again, you two! I wish you nothing but the best in your new life together as husband and wife!
