Engagement Photos in the Sand Dunes

Great Sand Dunes National Park Engagement Photos: Julie and I met in a Facebook photography group online and found out that we were both going to be at the Great Sand Dunes National Park in southern Colorado at the same time so we traded photography sessions! She and her husband, Anthony, are from New Mexico and they love adventure and travel as much as Jacob and I do. We met bright and early in the morning, before sunrise so we could get a head start climbing the sand dunes, before the morning light was the prettiest. None of us had been to the sand dunes before and we were all surprised at how small they seemed driving in, and then how big they were once we started climbing them! If you haven’t been to this national park before, I strongly recommend that you check it off your list! The nice thing about taking photos was that we had plenty of breaks while climbing, to get some great shots, but to also catch our breath. 😉

We had so much fun hanging out with these two lovebirds, getting to know them, playing in the sand, listening to Anthony play ukelele, watching the sun rise over the mountains, all while getting a little exercise. 😉
