They both attended the same church in high school, but never really paid any attention to each other until college. In college, they were part of the same group in their church where they did a lot of fun activities, including a corn maze, where Austin strategically landed Carrie’s phone number by claiming that “he needed everyone’s numbers in case they got lost”. After that, they began talking more and more, developing a strong friendship before dating.

Fast forward a couple years… It was Austin’s 23rd birthday and Carrie asked what he wanted to do that day. He said he wanted to drive down to Colorado Springs to enjoy the mountain views. They arrived at Helen Hunt Falls and once they got to a bridge by the waterfall, Carrie saw two little girls holding up a sign that said “I Love You” spelled out in sticky notes. Carrie looked at it and said “Aww I wonder who that’s for?!” Then it dawned on her what may be happening and turned around to find Austin down on one knee. Then the two girls flipped the sign over to show the message, “Marry Me?” on the other side. Austin had used a total of 113 sticky notes and on each sticky note was a reason why he wanted to marry Carrie!

If you are in love with their love story so far, you can only imagine what their wedding was like! Carrie had a vision of a “Fairytale Wedding” and she definitely looked and probably felt like world’s most beautiful princess all day! They got married at Rockland Community Church in Genesee and had their reception at the enchanting Baldoria on the Water in Lakewood. It was a beautiful, emotional day with lots of tears and laughter…
