Megan + Jesse’s Story:

Megan and Jesse met in May 2019. Jesse had just gotten back from traveling for 6 months through New Zealand and Southeast Asia while Megan was preparing to leave for her solo European travel. Their first meet up was at Rayback Collective in Boulder. Megan was hanging with her friends,and begged them to come along to meet this guy and tell her their thoughts. Of course with Jesse’s charming personality they hit it off immediately. Jesse invited Megan over for a second date to watch the season finale of Game of Thrones. Never having watched it before, she said yes, as she was excited to see him again. Sadly though, Megan’s travel date was approaching and she told herself that she wasn’t going to hold on to anything. So off she went to Europe leaving things with Jesse as a big question mark. However, Jesse continued to stay in touch and the minute that Megan arrived home, he took her out to dinner.

In July of that year, Jesse slipped Megan a note while at dinner and asked her to go steady. They have had quite an adventurous year. First, moving in together in their home in Lafayette. Then traveling across country to see family, exploring Colorado in Van Burgundy (the name of their van), camping, hiking and enduring the pandemic. They said that you find your person when you go through the hard stuff and you can still grow as an individual. Jesse and Megan are excited to take their vows to be travel partners for life and to always have each other’s back.

Their Chautauqua Park Intimate Ceremony on 4.3.21

Megan and Jesse got married on 4/3/21 (What a fun anniversary date!) at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado. They were surrounded by their immediate families only and had the sweetest ceremony in front of the Boulder Flatirons. Each family member added a rock to create a Cairn, with the top rock in the shape of a heart. After they exchanged vows and rings, they popped some champagne and took a few more photos before they headed out to dinner. I’m looking forward to seeing Megan and Jesse again next month for their sunrise hike wedding photos!
