You guys. This has got to be one of my favorite elopements that I’ve ever photographed! Jamie and Sam were adorable from the start. They emailed me with the cutest picture of the two of them, introducing themselves and asking if I would photograph their elopement later this year. They were coming to town to visit friends and go to a Red Rocks concert, then shortly after their Denver trip they were planning a trip to Europe. So they decided, why not get married in Denver surrounded by their friends, and make their Europe trip a honeymoon! Jamie and Sam said that the major things that make up their relationship are food, travel, and music. Their elopement embodied the best of all of those things!

How They Met

Jamie and Sam met on Bumble! Jamie matched with him because his photos of him traveling caught her eye. She opened the conversation up asking three songs he had listened to that week. He answered with two Odesza songs which got them talking about their love of shows and music festivals. For their first date, Jamie and Sam went to a cute house converted into bar/hang out spot that Jamie loved called Noda Company Store. They chatted with a couple drinks and then headed to a cocktail bar next door and bonded over their love of whiskey. They got along really well from the start, had great conversations, and ended up meeting up that Tuesday and again that Friday and the rest is history!

Later, they bought a house on the same street where they had their first date!

Their Garden of the Gods 70s Themed Elopement

We met at Balanced Rock in Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs. When I first saw Jamie, Sam, and their friends, I was SO excited because I had no idea that they were planning a 70s-themed wedding! Everyone looked so amazing!! We walked around and took pictures first, then ended the evening with their small ceremony, right as the sun was going down. There was so much laughter, a few tears, champagne popping, and so. much. love.
