Kate + Tom’s Crested Butte Elopement
I am so excited to share Kate and Tom’s Crested Butte elopement photos today! These two adventurous souls moved to Colorado from Texas just one year ago. They’ve had fun exploring Colorado together (and with their 3 dogs!) traveling all over this beautiful state! Kate and Tom have had so many adventures together, including several backpacking adventures! So it was no surprise when they said they wanted to hike on their wedding day. They chose a sunrise hike in Crested Butte and you guys, this was the most beautiful morning ever. Not only was the sunrise light on the mountains the most magical thing, Crested Butte is known for their summer wildflowers and we caught the tail end of wildflower season just in time.
Kate and Tom decided to have a non-traditional wedding. Tom went with Kate to pick out her wedding dress, they found a local florist who made Kate a bouquet with a one-day-notice (shout out to Bramble and Bloom!) and they had Nicky’s mini donuts instead of cake! They chose to say their vows in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, just the two of them. Their friends and family (all of which live out of town) sent them letters to save and read during their ceremony which was the sweetest thing.
I can’t say enough about these two and their sweet love for each other. It was such an honor to witness and document their fun personalities in one of the most beautiful settings ever! Congratulations, Kate and Tom!!!
The lighting and the clouds were amazing on both sides of the mountain… I love their expressions as they looked over to the other side and saw how beautiful it was!
