How They Met

Ken Caryl Wedgewood Wedding — BriAnne and Cody met on Christian Mingle three years ago! They talked for about two months before deciding it was time to meet each other in person. Cody drove out to Colorado a few days before New Years Eve! For their first date, they went to Thai Basil for dinner and then went to see the movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The next day was New Years Eve and Cody ended up meeting BriAnne’s whole family!

When they Knew

BriAnne: “Knowing I wanted to marry Cody was a process, it didn’t just hit me one night. Right from the beginning of talking to Cody I knew something was different with him. I was comfortable and our relationship felt completely natural. After making 7+ hour drives monthly to visit each other, you realize how much you care about a person to make that commitment. Three months into dating Cody and I were at a point in our relationship were we knew neither one was going to leave the relationship. I had been ready to marry Cody for a while before he actually proposed, but the timing was perfect.”

Cody: “I knew she was the one I wanted to marry after a few months of dating. After having her visit my hometown, all the times I was traveling working, and her taking the time to drive out to see me no matter the length of the drive, really showed me how much she cared and I knew I could spend the rest of my life with her.”

The Proposal

Cody proposed while they were on a vacation in Kansas. All week, Cody and his step dad were working on fixing a dock that was out on his step dad’s pond. BriAnne remembers thinking it was CRAZY that this was how they were spending their time in Kansas. As the week came to a close, Cody told her that he wanted to take her on a date. He took her to this water fountain (which was just a time waster) and then they drove back to the house. When they got back he blind folded her and walked her down to the dock. On the dock there were candles and lights, floating lanterns in the pond, and a little picnic. After a little time talking and eating cake, Cody said he had one last thing for her and then pulled out the ring. After BriAnne said yes there were fireworks!

Ken Caryl Wedgewood Wedding – BriAnne and Cody got married at Ken Caryl Wedgewood in Littleton, Colorado. It was a cold December day, so they had their ceremony indoors, but we were able to take lots of pictures outside with the beautiful snow! These two had such a beautiful day, full of lots of emotion and love…
