I’m so excited to share Randi and Aaron’s Sanctuary Golf Course wedding photos from their wedding last summer! But first, here’s a little more about Randi and Aaron:

How They Met

There were two first meetings that happened fall of their freshman year at Augustana College together. The first impression left Randi feeling less love at first sight. (It’s okay, we know it ends well!) On one of the first nights at Augustana, Randi and Aaron attended a boat cruise for freshman students going through orientation week. The night started well but ended a little rough. Aaron decided to follow tradition with his football teammates to ensure that no beers were left behind on the boat that day. Randi, attending her 1st college party, judged with her friends from the sidelines. They were appalled with the players being extremely, let’s call it, “festive”. In that moment, Randi promised to herself (and later in a call to her family) that she would never date a football player.

A few weeks later, they were introduced by mutual friend Molly Calhoun (who was a bridesmaid in their wedding!) at the convenience store in the freshman dorm while both on a late-night snack run. Randi was up late studying, and Aaron was on a mission for more Oreos (nothing has changed). Randi broke the promise to not date him. After 9 years, 4 cities, 3 degrees, 2 years long distance, 2 apartments, numerous travel adventures, and broken bones, they decided to spend forever together. On September 1, 2019 Aaron got down on one knee during a romantic cliff-side walk in Split, Croatia. They celebrated along with their friends & family in Randi’s home state of Colorado.

Their Sanctuary Golf Course Colorado Wedding

Randi and Aaron got married at Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado. After a postponed wedding due to Covid in 2020, they were so excited to celebrate with all of their family and friends. They had a first look in the elegant hallway at Sanctuary, then we walked around taking photos around the golf course. They had their ceremony under the pavilion outdoors, which included lots of laughter and tears. The weather was beautiful that day, so everyone got to enjoy the views at an outdoor cocktail hour. They had dinner and toasts indoors, then headed back outside to the pavilion for lots of dancing to Diamond Empire Band! It was a perfect evening. Congratulations Randi and Aaron!!
