Amanda and Aaron’s Breckenridge Wedding
Sevens Breckenridge Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographer
Oh, where to begin with these two! I have so much love in my heart for Amanda and Aaron. They’ve become such wonderful friends of ours over the past year. Amanda and I attended Iowa State University together, but never really hung out a lot. We had a similar group of mutual friends so we crossed paths a couple times throughout college. Shortly after I moved to Colorado, she sent me a message on Facebook saying she and her fiance recently moved to Colorado as well, and were engaged! They were planning their fall Breckenridge wedding and asked if I would be their photographer. We met for their engagement photos (which you can see here!), reconnected, and made plans to hang out more since we were both living in Denver. Amanda and I started finding wine bars and breweries, taking yoga classes together, and quickly became good friends.
Amanda and Aaron worked together as software developers in Madison, Wisconsin, and Aaron was the first person that Amanda met when she started working there on her first day! Aaron was talking about how he had just purchased a motorcycle, and Amanda had just sold hers, so they instantly had something in common to talk about. Amanda joked that he should take her for a ride sometime and eventually he did! They ended up moving to Colorado together a couple years later, and Aaron proposed at the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder!
They had their wedding and reception at Sevens in Breckenridge, Colorado. Their ceremony took place on the outdoor patio, where their out of town guests had views of the mountains in the background…
Amanda and Aaron had a small bridal party, so Amanda’s sister and mom were able to have a quiet and laid-back morning in their hotel, and helped Amanda get into her beautiful dress.
They chose to have a first look before their ceremony, with yellow aspens in the background…
It got a little windy at the end of their ceremony, and right before their first kiss, Amanda’s veil flew off into the trees!!!
After their ceremony, we walked over to a beautiful grove of trees, with champagne in one hand, and Lily’s (Aaron’s niece) hand in the other…

So pretty – I especially like that portrait of her in the trees 🙂
The fall colors were stunning and you captured them wonderfully! That veil flying away – love it! Also, I really like the one of them forehead to forehead. Beautiful set of photos!
That first look is so adorable, and so many other cute moments! I love the laughs during the ceremony! Beautifully captured as always, Shea!
What a beautiful wedding! You captured the couple’s joy and love beautifully. I love their wedding cake, the bride’s dress and all of the details. Gorgeous!
Oh my goodness poor thing losing her veil! But I love some wind in the hair too! I LOVE those shots in the trees!
