How Did You Meet?
Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding — “Our story started when Caleb‘s sister, Courtney, told Caleb about her lacrosse friend, Jess, looking for a date to her senior prom. Without ever meeting Jess, Caleb graciously volunteered to be her date. A week before prom Caleb asked Jess to go to a Denver Nuggets game (our first date) and the following week we went to prom and have been together ever since!”
How Did He Propose?
“On our three year anniversary, we went to Maroon Belles in Aspen, CO. We enjoyed hiking and the gorgeous views. The unexpected foot of snow on the ground made the adventure a little more difficult, but we still had so much fun. After our hike Caleb walked Jess out to a rock near the lake and he began to read aloud his anniversary letter he wrote to Jess (or so she thought). After the kindest, most incredible words, Caleb reached down into his backpack, pulled out the ring, and got down on one knee to ask Jess to marry him and be his forever. Jess of course replied yes with overwhelming joy and tears.”
Their Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding
Jessica and Caleb chose Deer Creek Valley Ranch as their wedding venue. For those of you that haven’t heard of DCVR, I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a wedding venue! Their morning started off rainy and stormy. The whole morning we were on the fence about whether or not to have the ceremony indoors. Jessica and Caleb really wanted to have their wedding outside, so they made the call to get married outside, rain or shine!
The rain let up JUST in time for their ceremony and it ended up being beautiful! The rain continued to hold off for their family pictures, wedding party pictures, and Jessica and Caleb’s portraits. Right as we were wrapping up their portraits, it started hailing like crazy! Jessica and Caleb were troopers and had fun the entire time.
After pictures, it was time for dinner and dancing! (The rain also let up for their first dance so they could have it outside on the patio!) These two and their guests sure knew how to have a good time. This wedding will forever go down as one of my favorites to photograph. Jessica and Caleb, it was such an honor to be a part of your day. Congratulations, again!!!
