Colorado Wedding Venues with Mountain Views
The 4 Best Colorado Wedding Venues with Mountain Views
I am in love with Colorado.
What is not to love about mountain views, fresh air, and a culture focused on the outdoors?
As a wedding photographer, I get to travel all over the state. I get to see stunning places and work with couples who plan events that are as unique as they are fun.
Because of this, I have found a few of what I believe are the most GORGEOUS Colorado wedding venues with mountain views! The kinds of venues that make your guests say ‘WOW’.
These are the places that I would want to get married, and I’m excited to share them with you!
1. Beaver Creek Wedding Deck
Beaver Creek Wedding Deck is a beautiful spot for the quintessential Colorado mountain wedding; guests take a gondola or ski lift up to the ceremony site.
The lift takes you to the top of the mountain where there are epic views all the way around.
After the ceremony, there are plenty of options for stunning photos. The pine trees, unobstructed mountain ranges, and meadows are just perfect!
For your reception, Beaver Creek is known for luxury! Nothing beats a beautiful day on the mountain like a relaxing evening celebrating over cocktails and awesome food.
More information on the Beaver Creek Wedding deck can be found here!
2. Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park is a Colorado treasure, and get this: the fee to have your wedding ceremony in the park is just $250!
There are lots of beautiful options for your ceremony that are unique, accessible to your guests, and private.
It is fun and easy to explore and find locations for beautiful portraits. By beautiful, we are talking tundra, piles of jagged snow-capped granite, forest, and water; all well within driving distance.
Rocky Mountain National Park sits between Granby and Estes Park, making it a great location for guests who may want to spend a few days exploring either city and enjoying Colorado.
Host your reception in Estes Park at one of its many restaurants or event venues (including the famous Stanley Hotel or the always-gorgeous Taharaa Mountain Lodge).

3. Granby Ranch
Granby Ranch is a great spot for a Colorado mountain wedding, especially if you love the outdoor life.
Guests get to take a ski lift to the mountain-top ceremony site, which offers awesome views from the top in addition to a really beautiful aspen grove. (Don’t worry, they can also shuttle guests to the top if they are nervous or unable to ride).
Fall weddings at Granby Ranch are incredible because the weather is still warm and the aspen grove offers brilliant color.
One of the most unique aspects of Granby Ranch is where you can get ready before the ceremony in a YURT!
The reception space has a fire-pit (perfect for s’mores) and plenty of open space for cornhole and giant Jenga; not to mention, epic sunsets.

4. The VRBO Mountain Wedding
Planning your wedding in a VRBO or private backyard with mountain views can be an affordable and surprising way to have an epic wedding.
It allows you to use the property as both the wedding venue, AND as a hotel for you, your wedding party, and even a few guests.
A VRBO Colorado mountain wedding is perfect for smaller or more intimate weddings. You will have as much time as you want to set up your decor, relax with the people you love, and celebrate an entire wedding weekend on-site (rather than just one day)!
If you are still looking for a photographer for your big day, I offer location scouting for ALL of my couples! This includes info on VRBO weddings, a list of my favorite mountain locations, online scouting and one full day of in person scouting for those of you that live out of state! **This service is only offered for couples once they book their wedding/elopement photography.**
Of course, these aren’t the only Colorado wedding venues with mountain views, but these are some of my absolute favorites! I’m always on the look out for private and unique places to get married in Colorado.
Are you having or planning a Colorado mountain wedding? I’m a photographer (also loves helping couples plan their wedding/elopement day) and really enjoy working with couples who cherish the outdoors as much as I do. Let’s chat, I’d love to hear from you!
These are all lovely mountain picks!
Gorgeous locations! I like the idea of a VRBO for smaller weddings.
