How They Met

Danielle and Brian met online and decided to go on a bike ride on New Years Eve day. Brian didn’t say more than three things to Danielle during the entire ride because, in his words, “When you ride you are supposed to breathe, not talk.” It was at that moment that she knew his dry sense of humor was just one of his best qualities. When he shared his gummy bears with her half way through the ride (a cyclist’s prized snack), he had her commitment to a second date.

How He Proposed

Brian was insistent that they go on a bike ride on New Years Eve day to keep up the tradition from their first date. It was 28 degrees outside and spitting snow, so he told Danielle to bundle up. She thought he was kidding until he started to pull her cycling gear out of her dresser. They made a deal that they would try to make it around the short four mile loop by their house. They made it to mile three before Danielle’s hands were so frozen that she insisted they go home. Then, they road to the top of a hill when she noticed that she had a flat tire. Brian got down to take a look at it and suddenly he was on one knee and asking Danielle to spend forever together! Suddenly the cold didn’t matter anymore. They celebrated New Years as a newly engaged couple!

Betty ford Alpine Gardens Wedding — Danielle and Brian decided to have a small and intimate wedding in Vail, Colorado. They had their ceremony at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens on an incredibly beautiful fall day in October. It was peak season for the aspen trees changing colors, which made for spectacular photos. The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens also had stick houses at the time which were created by Patrick Dougherty. They made for a unique and fun backdrop for some photos with Danielle and Brian!
