We loved photographing Tia and Bou’s wedding at Clay Venues in Colorado Springs. First, here a little more about this fun couple:

How They Met

Tia and Bou met at a summer internship program in Washington D.C. in June 2018. Bou asked Tia out the first day they met, then they spent nearly every day together for the rest of that summer. After the summer was over, they had to go back to their respective schools (Tia at Purdue and Bou at the University of Amsterdam.) They dated long distance for two and a half years and visited each other every couple of months!

How Bou Proposed

They got engaged in March 2020, only two days before the pandemic hit in The Netherlands. Bou proposed at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, on center stage under the spotlight with a bottle of champagne.

Their Clay Venues Colorado Springs Wedding and Celebration

Bou was finally able to move to the US in June 2021. They officially got married on June 26, 2021 and these photos are from their wedding celebration a year later with their family and friends!

Tia and Bou rented an AirBnb in Colorado Springs, where they got ready with all their family and friends. They did their first look with their whole wedding party out on the front lawn! Then we all drove to Garden of the Gods to take photos. It was such a windy day (as you’ll see in the photos) but everyone was having so much fun! After photos, we made our way to Clay Venues in downtown Colorado Springs. Tia and Bou had stroopwaffles and translated everything to Dutch since Bou and is family are from The Netherlands. It was such a fun day celebrating these two!
