Michaelea and David came all the way from Alabama to elope in the Rocky Mountains! They originally wanted to elope on Loveland Pass, but that afternoon a cold and windy snowstorm was moving through the area. So we decided to move their elopement ceremony closer to Lake Dillon in order to stay a little warmer. We parked at the Windy Point Campground parking and walked up to a spot in the trees where the wind was calmer and Reverend Allen performed their ceremony. We took a few pictures at their ceremony site then they quickly signed their marriage license on the hood of their car. Then we drove up the road and ended with some snowy photos at Sapphire Point! Michaelea and David ate their cupcakes, popped some champagne, and ended the evening cuddled up in a blanket as the snow dumped on us all.
