I’m so excited to share these photos of Caitie and Steve’s Red Rocks Country Club wedding photos! First of all, here’s some fun info about Caitie and Steve. You don’t want to miss their story!!
How They Met
Steve is a reporter for Channel 9 and was assigned a story at Caitie‘s elementary school where she was teaching 2nd grade. Caitie’s students did a heritage project in which they researched and did a presentation on their heritage country. (The majority of students were first and second generation immigrants and roughly 42 languages were spoken in the school.) Families were there to see presentations and share their own cultures through food and clothes. Caitie‘s teammates pushed her in front of the camera when Steve said he needed someone to interview and insisted there was a spark. A teammate sent a student running down the hall with Caitie‘s phone number on it while Steve was packing up his gear and Steve texted Caitie with a question about the story a couple of hours later. The texting didn’t stop until their first date about a week later.
For their first date, they met at the Blackbird Public House for drinks that turned into dinner. They talked until they shut the place down so they walked around the neighborhood for awhile longer until they shared their first kiss and finally said goodnight!
How Steve Proposed
They had planned a trip to London to celebrate Caitie‘s 30th birthday. It’s where she studied abroad and she is in love with the city. Steve had made dinner plans for the first night there to “celebrate Caitie‘s birthday” so they wandered into the city and in front of Tower Bridge. With an applauding crowd, Steve got down on one knee. Steve had hired a photographer to capture the whole thing and she immediately took them to a neighboring pub to grab a pint and calm both their nerves and then wandered the neighborhood to take some more pictures. They celebrated at dinner at a restaurant on top of the Shard with a window table that overlooked the entire city!
Their Red Rocks Country Club Wedding
Caitie and Steve’s wedding is one we’ll never forget! It really reflected their personalities with lots of bold colors (including an unplanned incredibly colorful sunset), their very own trivia game at their reception, personalized vows (including lots of cat references), and homemade invitations made by Caitie. They had a first look when they were finished getting ready. Afterwards, we drove around on the golf cart and took lots of photos! It rained during their outdoor ceremony, but that didn’t stop them from really enjoying the moment! After dinner, trivia, and the most hilarious toasts ever, they moved everything outside and danced under the pavilion! Congrats Caitie and Steve!!
