Cassi and & Andrei were one of the winners of the complimentary engagement session from the bridal show, and I’m so glad they won! These two were so relaxed in front of the camera, right from the start. We met at Water Works Park and they brought along their adorable black lab for a couple photos as well.
Cassi and Andrei recently moved to Des Moines from Dubuque, where they met. They first met at Andrei’s birthday party a couple years ago. At the time, they were both in committed relationships and to this day they say they weren’t even attracted to each other at the party. Over time, they became good friends and their other relationships didn’t work out. When they were both single, they slowly started dating… and now they’re engaged to be married next September!
PS Photographers: A good tip – I will sometimes tell the guy to whisper something into her ear… so far, it’s been 100% effective. 🙂

Andrei wanted a couple photos with downtown Des Moines in the background. I usually don’t put subjects in the sun like this, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results! The best part of my job is that there are no rules….. 🙂
