Jovanna + Aaron’s Sunrise Elopement Photos
How They Met
Like many young couples, Jovanna and Aaron met online through a dating website. They said they can’t believe how easy it would have been to not have connected and how lucky they are that they did! They met at PF Chang’s for dinner and talked the whole night about everything. They’ve been inseparable ever since!
The Proposal
Aaron took Jovanna to a nice Brazilian restaurant in downtown Oklahoma City (where they live) for dinner. Afterwords, Aaron suggested they walk around the botanical gardens to look at the Christmas lights. When they got to the amphitheater, Aaron got down on one knee and asked Jovanna to marry him!
Their Rocky Mountain National Park Sunrise Elopement
First of all, I need to say how fun it was hanging out with these two on this super early morning! They decided to elopement three months ago after deciding they wanted something small and intimate. Their elopement date was exactly 9 months after they got engaged (to the day!) Jovanna jokingly said it wasn’t because of a baby! 😉 Jovanna and Aaron are a fun, adventurous couple that loves hiking, traveling, craft beer, and dungeons and dragons! They also have a spoiled three year old black lab named Lola who couldn’t join them in Colorado.
Jovanna had an extremely early morning with hair and makeup starting at 4am! I showed up at 5:30am and we headed off to catch the sunrise up on Trail Ridge Road! After an incredible sunrise, we made our way to Sprague Lake where they reserved the dock for their ceremony. It was a perfect calm morning and they had the lake to themselves! We ended the morning in Moraine Park on our way out of the park for a few more pictures. It was such an honor being a part of Jovanna and Aaron’s elopement day!
