It was their second year of college, and Mason saw Karen in the dining hall and asked a mutual friend to set them up. (That friend was Karen’s maid of honor in their wedding!) A few years later, after Karen graduated law school, they took a trip to Nashville. They had a few great days of great music, warm weather, and fun. On the last night, he took Karen to a rooftop dinner and then to a quiet river overlook. While the sun went down, Mason asked her to marry him!
Karen and Mason’s destination wedding took place in Estes Park, Colorado at Black Canyon Inn. Their reception was held at Bristlecone Inn. Karen and Mason were surrounded by their closest friends and family, who witnessed the two of them exchange vows in front of one of the most gorgeous wedding backdrops…
There was a storm nearby and it rained on and off all day… and there was wind… lots of wind. But it went beautifully with Karen’s cathedral veil!
Karen’s mom sang as she walked down the aisle…
Karen & Mason had a “ring warming” during their ceremony, where they passed around their rings and everyone was able to bless the rings before Karen & Mason exchanged them…
Bristlecone Inn made for a beautifully intimate reception for their destination wedding…
It stopped raining just in time to have their first dance outside on the patio, followed by Karen and Mason dancing to “Dancing Queen” by Abba, which was so fun to watch!
Thanks to an amazing team who put this beautiful mountain wedding together for Karen and Mason!
