Santa Cruz Engagement Photos — I’ve been dying to share these photos from Chris and Holly’s engagement session ever since that evening! I actually went to college with Chris and Holly at Iowa State. When I studied abroad in Spain for a semester, my roommate Claire and I became close friends. After our study abroad semester, I got to know Claire, her boyfriend, and their friend group. Her boyfriend Jesse has a twin, Chris, which is how I got to know Chris and Holly! Flash forward 8 years later, Chris and Holly moved to San Jose, California and got engaged at Yosemite National Park! They reached out to me once they started wedding planning. I ended up flying out to San Jose to take their engagement photos, and I’m so excited to also be photographing their wedding next June!

Chris and Holly were so kind to host me in their home during my stay and I got to know their cute neighborhood in Campbell, California. For their session, we first drove to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (near Santa Cruz) and took some photos with the Redwoods. Then we headed to Santa Cruz beach (anyone seen the movie, “Us”?)  just in time for sunset photos! It was so wonderful getting to know these two more, as well as meeting their two adorable Savannah cats, Calvin and Hobbes, featured at the end of this blog post as well. 😉 Thank you Holly and Chris for showing me all the beautiful places in California! I can’t wait until your big day next June!

Congrats again, Holly and Chris! You guys rocked it! Can’t wait until your wedding next summer. 🙂
