How They Met
Kristin and Phillip through Kristin’s friend, Courtney and her mom. They started talking about him and how they thought the two of them should meet. Kristin was interested and thought he sounded great. She actually thought to myself, he sounds like the perfect person for me. However, Kristin was doing her own thing in life and was in no rush. She kept saying no, maybe later. Finally, they met months later at Courtney’s mom’s birthday dinner. They haven’t gone a day without talking to him ever since.
The Proposal
Kristin and Phillip were invited to go to Aruba with a couple of family friends. They had been talking about marriage but Kristin honestly did not think he would propose quite yet. Kristin had convinced herself that there was no way he took the ring to the airport in his carry on or risk her finding it. They went sightseeing around the island all day and then had a relaxing dinner afterwards. They walked down to the beach after dinner and that’s when Phillip got down on one knee at sunset and asked Kristin if they could spend the rest of their lives together! Kristin was completely shocked to say the least and was even speechless for a few seconds before saying yes! Phillip said he got nervous because she didn’t say anything at first!
Their Snowy Winter Sapphire Point Wedding
Sapphire Point Wedding Photos — Kristin and Phillip decided to have a small destination wedding in the Colorado mountains. Kristin had always wanted a winter wedding, but they had never been to Colorado before! They decided to take their family with them to Breckenridge and have a small ceremony outside. They chose Sapphire Point by Lake Dillon to have their ceremony. It was so snowy/windy, that there wasn’t even a view of the mountains, but it was definitely the winter wedding that Kristin always dreamed of! Their family and friends surrounded them as they said their vows, then we took a few pictures before it was too cold to be outside anymore!
Congratulations, Kristin and Phillip!!! Thanks for allowing me to document your beautiful winter wedding!
