Jenny & Billy’s Wedding at The Barnes’ Place

You might recognize Jenny and Billy from Jenny’s sister’s wedding that I blogged about here. I was so happy to see the McClanahan family twice in one year! Even though Jenny and Jessie got married the same year, their weddings had completely different styles that reflected their personalities. Jenny and Billy’s wedding took place at The Barnes’ Place, which is out in the country and it has a beautiful rustic feel to it, with lots of space to use for photos, yard games, etc. It’s definitely one of my favorite venues in Iowa!

Jenny and Billy met through their work at Goodwin Tucker Group in Iowa. They quickly realized they had a lot in common, including some of their favorite outdoor hobbies. One winter, they took a trip to Breckenridge where Billy proposed after a horse-drawn carriage ride up to a clearing on a mountain!

Their Barnes Place Wedding consisted of lots of DIY, including beautiful center pieces, a photo wall honoring their bridesmaids and groomsmen, and even their cake which was made by Jenny and her sister! Even though it was mid-October in Iowa, the weather was nice enough to have their ceremony outdoors (which is such a cool space!). These two are so kind and gracious and it was an honor to document their wedding day!
