Aster Cafe Minneapolis Wedding | Kristen + Bill

How They Met
Kristen and Bill met online and met for a drink at Common Roots Cafe in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. Their first date went so well that they ended up hanging out together at the cafe past closing time! Bill proposed with a Lake Superior agate along the North Shore in Lutsen, Minnesota – one of Kristen and Bill’s favorite places to visit!
Their Aster Cafe Wedding
Aster Cafe Minneapolis Wedding — Kristen and Bill chose to have a smaller wedding with their closest friends and family at Aster Cafe in Minneapolis. The Aster Cafe is located along the Mississippi River in central Minneapolis. It is a restaurant as well as a wedding venue with a beautiful bridal suite and an outdoor patio for larger groups!
They chose to keep things simple and decided to give up some popular wedding traditions. They didn’t have a bridal party, and Kristen wore a fun blue dress instead of white! Instead of the more traditional unity candle, the couple chose to make a “unity cocktail” and mixed it together and drank it during the ceremony. They had a fun build-your-own taco buffet bar with so many delicious options. Then they danced the night away with their family and friends while one of their good friends sang and played for them!
A big thank you to the following vendors for making this day so amazing for Kristen and Bill!
